"There are a lot of benefits to working at DBP. Firm leadership manages the work/life balance closely and is thoughtful and proactive in establishing firm-wide policies that ensure good design and a good work environment. That said, the pay isn't particularly competitive and the office doesn't promote or give raises at an appropriate pace. The office has also grown in the past year and become more rigidly hierarchical, which I believe will limit growth opportunity for junior and mid-level employees in the future. In addition, the design aesthetics, though clean and appealing, are so rigorously defined by firm leadership that anyone below a principal level at the firm doesn't get much opportunity to impact design.
