"Negotiate your salary by asking about the company's policy around salary benchmarking and how your skills would be ranked , and where your offer stands on the salary benchmarking (below, at or above the midpoint 50th percentile). That's a data-centric way to have the conversation that taps into a method the company claims to use (but sometimes ignores in favor of small increases against salary history). Once you are "in" increases will be factored on you current salary."

"Work from home, video collaboration, "work the hours that work for you" has been very doable in some field roles, less so more traditional corporate roles. Tremendous variance by global region. Pendulum swinging back toward being in the office."

Would you recommend Dimension Data to other women?
"Dimension Data talks a big game about diversity, but the numbers are falling and most women work in accounting, HR or marketing. The new collaboration business unit leader has a better track record than the longer standing business unit leaders. The new CMO is fantastic. Women achieving SVP titles have had to battle, stick to their guns for promotion. New email SVP of Sales at the global level is a great role model."

"I worked here for many years in both a regional and global role. The company was definitely a bad example boys club. Women are outnumbered in all departments except HR and Marketing -- and especially in leadership roles. The salaries are incredibly uneven between men and women, and promotions are given to men without experience to try out leadership, etc., but never to women. Pregnant women and mothers are treated as if they will never return to work, and they are not given any flexibility once they do. It is definitely not a great place to work as a woman."
