Since any college or university is free to choose whatever other selection criteria they want (bound by equal opportunity law and custom), the various new metrics and numbers really mean nothing.

It’s notably better and improving with new executive leadership since 2014, however the company is not very “modern” and has a long way to go.

Be careful what you commit to- this is place to trade time for money if you have other means of income or just need something to do for a few hours a week- this is not a career employer

More personal interaction- emphasis on email communication even though it's a small office with less than 50 employee's in house. Support employee's ideas, suggestions etc. Promote based on merit and abilities vs. 'who you know'

March 2017

It is a good old boys club. They hire incompetent lazy men and women do the work and are paid far less than men. It was brought to HR's attention and nothing was done. Discrimination is rampant! Do not even think about working here if you are a woman.

Do not work here unless you are okay with being talked over and enjoy mansplaining. Women in positions of power do not do anything to promote other women.

May 2015

Save more money, because maternity leave is only paid if you use your PTO to cover it. I had 6 weeks saved so that was used, but for the additional 6 (I was allowed 12 and used it all) I was unpaid. That was a financial hardship. Also, take advantage of the tuition assistance provided to all full-time employees. In a few months I will be starting a Master's program at the university where I work, and because I'm full-time I get a 50% discount. Because there are little to no career advancement opportunities here, furthering my education is the only option.
