"Do not work here if you want to have a career as a scientist. Women are not able to advance in technical roles. Even PhD-level scientists start off in technical roles but then move into less technical "innovation process manager"-type positions if they want to have any hope of advancing. Ask how many women have been promoted to the level of technical fellow - last I heard, no woman had ever made it to the fellow level. "

"Manager was blatantly sexist. Reported him to director, whose response was "I don't want to hear about this. You can either mount a full legal battle with him through HR, or you can choose to ignore it.""

"It all depends on who your boss is. Some are flexible and great to work for. Others are very traditional and want to see you at your desk. For instance, my whole department could easily work from home during Covid, we are office employees. However, the Executive Team insists on us being onsite. A medical excuse is required to deviate from this. Which then makes HIPPA go out the window, now the employer knows there's a medical issue, even if not the details, that prevents you to come in during Covid. Not cool Eastman."

"The new policies were just introduced in late 2019 after several parents left and complained. We will have to see what measures are being taken on preventing abuse. Company has bad managers, directors and vice presidents who believe in abusing parents. They are not in their positions because of merit but by playing company politics. Pregnant women are moved into demanding positions before the baby arrives. Managers call moms and force them to come back early and than fight with them/hold back promotions/spread lies about their lack of worth ethic because of issues with start time, face time, working from home, and sick leave. Company has no policy on telecommuting. Bad management is not fired but moved so that they can fire people from the background. Alot of parents and other individuals have left this company. In summary, talented people are forced out."
