You will not be paid what you are worth. The work is rewarding, but the pay is poor. You have to make your own opportunities.

The culture is very team-oriented, which has pros but was hard for me to adjust to due to my background in corporations.

The university has excellent policies for family leave and for nursing/pumping mothers. My department has hired two visibly pregnant women in the year I have been here> They are very interested in keeping talented people and building a positive working environment.

This is a very large organization and I think family- and women-friendliness is department-specific. The universities policies tend to be family friendly.

This company is flexible and pays for your health insurance. Only negative review is that it does not offer a good maternity leave package.

June 2015

Unsurprisingly there are more men than women in investing roles. But genders are generally treated equally. As far as I observed women were respected and given the same opportunities as men. There are reasons why I would caution people about working there, but none have to do with gender.
