You need to figure out your way of making yourself heard that doesn't upset the male ego. You need to be vocal and show you can excel at your role.

The company says it is implementing diversity but when an opportunity arises to hire women into more senior positions, it doesn't happen. The standard rationale is that the women didn't have enough "leadership experience".

Be prepared to ask for what you are worth. Don't expect the owners to just give it to you. You have to be proactive and assertive. This is true for men as well.

Its a good place if you just want to put in your 40 hours and go home. Nice flexibility. But if you want to rise up, its a struggle due to the lack of women in leadership and mentoring is fend for your self.

You really need to take advantage of being a woman, take off for your period. Even if you try to be tough and one of the guys you'll be expected to work harder and longer but with no greater chance of higher pay or promotion.
