Other than the blatant preference for women for the low paying customer service jobs, most other departments in the company are fairly equal in gender diversity except for C-level titles.

    Salaried (management) positions offer much more flexibility than hourly ones. Department managers create their own schedules so they are able to be flexible with the hours they work themselves and can help accommodate the hours of the employees in their departments. If employees change their availabilities or have to call out of a shift to take care of family, etc. they are given 4 excused absences per year without penalization.

    Their maternity leave policy isn't great and they offer zero paid paternity leave. It makes it difficult for people who have children to comfortably take time off of work without struggling financially.

Its a very small company, but men and women are pretty much treated the same. It should be noted that as the male shop owner is not originally from this country, his views on women are not inline with the US. Shop talk can sometimes be a bit inappropriate.

Women are treated fairly but leadership and higher level positions are mostly male-dominated, and those available positions do not offer much diversity or have impact on the overall brand of the company. It is very difficult to network and most women do not 'fit in', into the traditional roles.
