Good policies on paper--depends on manager how they are applied. Extremely hard not to be "mommy tracked" unless you kill yourself and never see your family. "Success" here is a pretty antiquated, binary station: you work all the time and brag confidently about yourself all the time and discuss how busy you are all the time and either take on too much or delegate every last thing and you are golden.

There is a strong Latin American culture so family values are highly valued as well as interpersonal relationships. Sometimes it is hard to steer the conversation away from your kids towards work topics especially for women (I dont see that as a problem for men here)

    The client is king at Cognizant. If you're in a client facing role you could be asked to travel and be in front of the client at any point. It's exhausting. However, working from home is the norm so that provides a lot of flexibility.

Women are not treated well here. They are rarely promoted and receive excuses instead of raises. The only SEO female director was often excluded from leadership meetings, which were never on her schedule and happened only after she left for the day.

There is a dearth of female senior associates and partners who work full-time and have kids. The firm offers a reduced hours schedule, but there is a big pay cut involved (more than a prorated portion of your salary). The maternity leave policy also contains a claw-back provision if you do not return for a full year after your leave.
