"Working for this company has been better for me and my family. I am not made to feel guilty about picking up a sick kid from daycare or taking an afternoon off to attend women's networking event. My boss has repeated multiple times that family comes first. I feel that my company believes that if our home lives are good, we will excell more at work."

"From what I have heard (I am relatively new to the company) my department seems to be more flexible than some other departments. It works out great for me, but now I have to think about the flexibility if I want to advance my career and move to a different department, because it doesn't seem to be the same everywhere in the company."

"Whilst GE's current drive to improve the gender gap in technical roles, this is not being replicated across the entire organisation or up to board level. Feels a bit like talking the talk without walking the walk. Low levels of females in middle management also."

"Whilst flexible working policies exist, they are very much dependent on manager's discretion and biased towards mothers, and not women without children ie it's still discriminatory."
