"Depends on business unit and specific management, but at my site, many employees take advantage of flexible work arrangements e.g. remote work, park time, shifted hours, etc. Permissive leave (unlimited vacation, with manager approval) plus generous parental leave for new parents."

"I such a huge company I am sure there will be differing views, however I can only speak from experience and say that i do not feel that my gender has been an issue or held me back professionally within this company. "

"You have to be able to work in ambiguous situations. Your manager, coworkers, and team members aren't always going to have the answer, and you have to be willing to go out of your way to find the information you need. There should be a personality requirement of 'tenacious' or 'relentless' for most roles at GE, and that isn't an exaggeration. "
