"Involvement with Affinity Networks is key to helping navigate the gender Gap. The corporate leadership team is making efforts to close the gap and have a goal of having 20K women in technology positions by the year 2020. "

"Do not judge the company by the actions of one manager. Managers come and go and some are worse than others in regards to gender, flex time and family life. Working with HR to correct issues is the way to go."

"The company boasts having a flexible work schedule, but I find that a lot of times that is simply not the case. For example after putting in your 40hour week I have had to spend additional hours on a Saturday doing testing that was mandated by a manager. Actions and words do not always align."

"Be yourself : it is really easy to fee yourself forced to adopt some behavior and mindset to adapt in a new environment.
In GE the only recommended way to pursue some carreer is to stick to your value and be flexible on customer goal only."

"Flexibility really depends from your management. My last manager was really inflexible on time management and face time. But it is really unusual inside GE to have such behavior."
