"I've worked here for 9 years, and have seen some great examples of women in leadership, but there are not enough. Expectations are high, and to advance and gain recognition, you have to put in a lot of hours. I feel I have been treated fairly and given great opportunities.
The company recently made some changes to allow for more paternity leave which seems to be a step in the right direction.

"I worked at GEH for 5 years. While some managers were inclusive and supportive, the only successful women were the ones who made the company their life. Working 70-80 hour weeks, moving all over the country for a position. I took the full maternity leave I was entitled to and felt that many were disappointed with me for it. My boss came back after 4 weeks.

"The company is diverse and does treat women fairly. Be aware the competition and expectations are high. You will be working extra hours and the life work balance is off. Weekends and evenings happen often.

"GE treats men and women very equally, which can be rare in oil & gas. Don't be afraid to go in boldly.
