There is a very defined line between the men and women here, it is an old school business. Either understand and accept that or this company isn't for you.

Intermountain Healthcare culture is very representative of Utah culture, not very accommodating to women in mid to top level leadership.

The culture can be cutthroat and not accommodating. My sense is that opportunities outside of the classroom (i.e, at the network office) have more flexibility than school-based roles.

Need to speak up abut breastfeeding and pumping at work. No policy exists, altho individual offices do make some accommodations.

November 2016

In general, this company does not compensate at a competitive rate in the field (for anyone - male or female), however, the benefits (work-life balance, flexibility for family, etc) are great.

November 2015

Some departments are good, others are bad. The flex time policy is not only incredibly confusing, but applied totally differently by various supervisors across the university. Some offices have an on-call system which would be literally impossible for parents of any gender to participate in. Female leaders do exist here, and some are actually genuine.
