It's an old boys club for the most part, depending on the department. Factory culture for most areas but HR, IT, accounting offer growth opportunities.

There are a number of gender diversity/parity campaigns and initiatives at corporate level, but at local geographic/business unit level it doesnt visibly translate to many training, development or promotion opportunities for women. Giving the impression it is more lip service than real equity on the ground.

For professional staff, maternity leave is standard (so not great) - 8 weeks paid, 12 weeks total. But when you do return to work, the pumping setup is excellent. Also not a lot of flexible schedules/work from home available, again, speaking about professional staff, not attorneys.

Most of the executive staff are men, but there are a significant number of women in high ranking positions. I can only speak for my department, but there are more women than men employed and women outnumber men in senior management positions. Excellent maternity leave benefits. Company also offers flexible work arrangements to support a healthy work-life balance. They also offer back-up child care, but not on site care. During my ten years with the company, I have been promoted multiple times and have been very happy with my experience with the company.

I worked at this company for five years. While the staff is approximately 50/50 women/men, I was shocked by how little HR seemed to understand about the maternity leave process. It was very frustrating, and stressful to have to deal with errors the first several weeks home with my new baby.
