"Hess is one of the most employee-friendly environments I have ever worked. Respect for others is a major component of the culture. There could be improvements in "family friendly" policies and they seem to be working on them. Maternal care benefits are improving for 2017 and we have Mother's Room in Houston."

"Even women in leadership roles are constantly critiqued for being "bossy" or "too direct", or are under constant scrutiny for their appearance or perceived missteps. It's very much an "old boys club" and I can't think of any woman leader within the company that is exempt from these perceptions."

"It's an oil and energy company. It's older white man at the very top level. Females are not represented at all, let alone fairly. Granted, different departments have different styles but the females in HR were catty, finger pointing and unable (or unwilling) to help any other females. This behavior, of course, was ignored thus sanctioned by an upper management chain of men."
