"Your manager is very important factor that decides whether you will get good work or not, whether your performance will be evaluated well or not, whether you will be promoted or not. Bad manager = bad workplace for you at this company.
You will always need to stoke the ego of your manager - should you be unfortunate to have to work for one such.
You as a woman are probably not given much credit for your work, and also your opinion is always asked - good optics - but never really "heard"."
