It's a very relationship driven culture. People with seniority are treated differently as well as those sitting at their 'flagship site' location in Rochester, MN. Preference seems to be given there more often than not due to the exposure and ability to interface with others. Telework is possible but not in all positions. It is very value driven and team focused so that is a plus.

    allows telework for some positions, but not all. Family planning policies are not as strong as at other companies. There is no maternity leave for adoption, parental leave is also poor compared to others in market. There is no encouragement to volunteer (time away from work built in to PTO time) you will see at other companies, but it is non-profit its self. Ability to adjust hours as need is great and flexibility around needs for family/kids are good. Flexibility inside the organization for movement in career is very strong. You can work in multiple areas with networks you build over time/experience in the culture.

Good people work here. It's a good organization with a great mission and some strong values. They need more women, cultures and POC in leadership positions and i believe they are starting to acknowledge that.

She ask you to dress better when you are wearing the best you got and giving 100% to the job. She is very rude to ppl with lesser means including customers

Since we can work remote, we have more flexible starting/ending time but since it's client work - we are at the mercy of the client and often put in night hours to get things done. Many people have small children, even leadership so there is a understanding that there will times when you need flexibility.

The maternity leave benefit is great (CA paid leave of 12 weeks plus 4 weeks company-paid.) There is great flexibility to work from home when needed (I work from home usually 1 day/week) and flex hours. That said, the consultant role can be grueling due to travel and client requirements. Coworkers here are smart, mission-driven and collaborative. There is good and growing diversity but I do think women need to advocate for themselves to ensure they are given the same opportunities and rewards as their male counterparts.
