"Broaden roles when people are capable of doing more. Role definition puts people into boxes, and having them focus on their 80 (vs. 20) responsibilities paints people into corners and prevents career growth. Conduct skills inventories and allow for people to rotate across divisions and segments more freely before terminating them with the end of a project."
