Great medical coverage! Most departments are flexible with working from home.

for other RNs, Management is often not respectful of nurses, other non-licensed personnel are encouraged to question authority. This makes RN's jobs harder.

In nursing school, you are taught to have critical thinking, so you can be one step ahead of the problem. Here you are not allowed to do that, you have to call the doctor for every little thing. Some doctors listen to your suggestions, and others look at you like you are stupid. Lots of things to many to mention.

Maybe. The Kaiser I work at, they treat like a robot, just go, go , go. It seems we never get praised by our mangers for jobs well done, but the minute a mistake is made, you hear about it

Women are in the highest positions within the organization. Outside the physician role, men are the minority (though that's evening out more and more.)

Great place to work as a Mom (little stress, flexible schedule, great PTO benefits, great health insurance). However, there is little room for upward mobility and pay is not competitive since benefits are rich.

Great to work for been here 16 yrs and you really need to ask yourself if this position is for you. If you can follow direction, pick things up quickly, don't take things personally, it's a breeze. Getting hired is a bit difficult but once your in the door it's really a good place to work: great benefits, flexible schedules if needed, and a company with a high rating within the community and surrounding areas. I definitely would recommend this company to other women as well as men!!!
