"Overall it is a pretty good place to work. Some of the management is a bit biased against women, but those managers seem to be phased out more and more as time goes on. Benefits are pretty good for women as well."

"It's a good place to work for women. Generally, with the exception of a few individual employees, women are treated equally throughout the structure. There are many women in management and very high-level individual contributor roles, including at the executive level.
There is also regular diversity training, though it tends to be incredibly heavy-handed and far too conservative for my liking."

"Individual managers are, and can be, very flexible. There's a significant amount of latitude given to the managers at various levels to enact work-life balance, policy, etc. However, they are unable to do much when "urgent", reactionary "all hands on deck" situations come from up the chain. Unfortunately, these all-hands situations typically turn out not to be of an urgent nature, and override employees' work-life balance or other tasks for a situation that could and should have been resolved in a more thoughtful and measured manner."

"My direct manager was incredibly supportive during the several years I worked for them. They were flexible with time off during difficult times in my life, and I'm sure my strong performance contributed to that. I was also able to have frank, honest conversations with them about my career and concerns, and felt heard and understood. Action was taken where necessary, and follow-ups were timely and meaningful. Unfortunately, I feel my manager was held back by the whims of their manager, which ultimately hampered my and my colleagues' overall effectiveness.
Previous managers at the same company were not nearly as good. One, no longer with the company, would frequently be completely unhelpful in the rare times I'd ask for assistance, telling me to "let me know when you've figured it out." This was coming from a place of complete ignorance, rather than malice, and this individual was one who refused to learn about anything. This individual is no longer with the organization.
Prior, my manager was dismissive and generally disregarded my inquiries and questions. I was left to figure out any issues on my own, and escalations went unanswered. Thankfully, this individual is also no longer with the organization.
I say all of this to highlight that there are good, strong managers at KeyBank, but there are also poor managers. They all have the ability and tools to be supportive (especially with some creative interpretation of policy), but it is what they choose to do that is ultimately the driver."

"Like other banking institutions for which I’ve worked, in the institutional and commercial banking side of the business there are fewer women than in the retail side of the bank. That said, the executive management team has and continues to show a commitment to DEI initiatives. "

"Be either really good at some sort of sales or be prepared to be hounded to schedule more appointments for the personal bankers. Honestly it should be them focused on setting their own appointments. We have enough going on behind the teller line that sometimes we don't always get to talking about why they need a credit card and check everyone's calendar to see when they are free to see someone."

"For the most part they are very willing to work with me on my schedule but i am forced to use PTO time when my child or myself are sick and not sick time. "
Did you take Maternity leave?
"No"
"I haven't taken my leave yet, however I plan to go out on unpaid maternity leave in October 2018 and really don't know how I am going to get by for 12 weeks with no income other than my other half's when we can make our bills as it is with both incomes. The stress is already piling on thinking about it... And they wonder why there is so much postpartum depression in the USA. Coincidence? I think not!"

"Midwestern firm, sexism still exists but it's more subtle gender dynamic sexism rather than the sexual harassment at some of the larger companies. Have had a good experience here"
