expect to work from sun up to sun down. you only get paid for what your salary says, not compensated for any other time you have to complete work for scheduling and staff meetings. they do not change their gas compensation even for people with older cars that are SUVs and take a large portion of gas than other cars.

if you wanted off for the supervisor position you had to make sure you did it weeks in advance and if other people wanted off who had been there for longer (sometimes only a year) they would get off before you even if you had been talking to the employer for week/months in advance that you would not be around during that time you needed off.

I feel that men and women are treated equally at this organization. There are female leaders at almost every level. While Nike has it's issues, they aren't gender based.

Speaking for a design perspective, I think there is a lot of flexibility. I don't know about other departments though.

  • Took Maternity Leave Here? (Weeks)

    16 paid / unpaid

The new maternity leave is good. 6-8 weeks of short term disability (8 weeks for a C-section) followed by 8 weeks of "family leave" all 100% paid. Paternity leave/leave for adoption of a child is just the 8 weeks. I feel that the policy would be great if the 16 weeks were extended to fathers and adoptive parents as well.

February 2016

There are very few women or POC in upper-level management positions. Management is overwhelmingly white male. Still, the company culture and values are phenomenal, with full healthcare, remote work options, and unlimited PTO. Because the company is small and still growing, the company's maternity leave policy (and how that related to remote work or unlimited PTO) is still untested. However, paternity leave is used frequently by the male employees and is considered to be very generous and flexible.
