"Company culture does seem to encourage work life balance. They have a flex work hour policy so I am able to start earlier or later and take a shorter lunch. Depending on your manager, you may have ability to work from home sometimes (pre-covid). There is no parental leave policy. You get 5 weeks paid leave them rough short term disability. They say it is 6 weeks but one week is your own PTO. Employees under 10 years get 20 days PTO which includes sick and vacation and does not roll over. I do not believe dads have any paid leave options other than PTO. The rest of maternity leave is either PTO or unpaid. We get the week off between Christmas and New Years which is nice. However, on maternity leave even though employees are allowed to extend their paid Holidays with PTO, I was told I had to use PTO to cover these paid holiday days because I did not work the day before and the day after even though I was using PTO for that leave. I have been told they have since changed that policy. I work in a male dominated field but there are many women in leadership positions in the department. "
