Unfortunately, working with predominantly women can be a challenge in itself. I think it's good to make yourself known and be very very clear in your communications with others. If things are put forth in a vague manner, it leaves too much for interpretation. Thoughts and ideas communicated can morph into a "monster".

1 2 3 4 5Prior to the current management, we had considerable flexibility. Over the past 6 months that has drastically changed. Very inflexible regarding scheduling and PTO. Dissension going on due to outed wage disparity between same position coworkers, male & female.

Good people work here. It's a good organization with a great mission and some strong values. They need more women, cultures and POC in leadership positions and i believe they are starting to acknowledge that.

July 2017
It was very flexible and accommodating. Most people work solid 9-5, earlier or later, depending on what's going on/role. When I was there, working from home was very accepted.

Hours are better than peer firms, but barriers persist for raising a family, particularly for women who have small children.

Even though there is a woman at the top of this company (Nancy McKinstry), this is not a company that fosters a culture of treating (and paying) women equally. The men at top are saying what women want to hear, but actions speak louder than words. In my 5 years here, I haven't seen any significant changes to accommodate working mothers (and fathers).

December 2015
It's pretty evenly split in management between men and women. Our station manager is a woman. As far as general population, I would say it's pretty close to an even split there as well. It really just depends if you can handle the stress of the job.
