If you work at National Spine and Pain Centers longer than 6 months and do not require a visit to a therapist, psychiatrist, etc...you are immortal.

Must give a 1 month notice prior to being approved for a SINGLE day off. This, "policy" unfortunately, does not always apply to all staff. Favoritism is huge in getting what you want from management.

The boys club is hard to break into. Hard work only exists if you do it. Others can sit in the office or go outside for smoke breaks.

There is exceptionally strong female leadership and role models, however some senior leaders bring more old school, traditional views on flexibility and family time.

January 2016

I have worked here for 5 years too long. It's a sexist company with a good old boys attitude. It's a Canadian company with a US division. The discrepancies between the maternity leave for Canadian citizens and US citizens is absurd. The life work balance is almost non-existant. It has only been recently that promoting diveristy and inclusion has been on the radar of Suncor.
