"Men at the top treat you like we are their personal secretaries from the 1950s while you work longer hours than they do, and make pennies to their dollars."

"I think you have to decide if the long hours are for you. It's commonplace in public accounting, but I don't think this firm does enough set a culture that balance in your life is important. There are comments from Partners like "Oooh it's 6:30 and you're leaving for the day - how nice for you." Or that managers/partners will state that they will do a certain task over the weekend - as if it is completely normal to have to work on weekends. If they say that, then I think it shows an expectation for everyone to behave that way."

"There is some flexibility as far as your schedule, but people are expected to be working more than 40 hour weeks and during the tax/audit busy seasons, they are expected to work more than 60 hours. At times they even require people to come in on Saturdays. I don't think this is a reasonable request and does not reflect a culture of work-life balance."
