Have confidence to ask for what you need. If you cannot settle on an immediate solution with your manager, be patient and try again. Change will be imminent in the future across all offices.

I am an owner and single mother hence it's imperative to offer my group the same flexibility once an employee is established. But we are also tax accountants so flexibility is tough to offer/receive during tax season.

Effective Communication across offices resulting in an increase of efficiencies, additional services and products, and advanced human capital management. All actions simultaneously would increase revenues.

There is no direction or vision. People are promoted based on how much they kiss up to the owner, not based on skill. The more secrets you spill, the higher you go.

You have to use your own sick or annual leave, there is no maternity "package." if you do not have enough time, you may either go into a negative balance (if your supervisor approves on a case by case basis) or ask others to donate leave to you.

There is a serious gender issue in the North American practice, less so in Australia. I don't have as much insight into other regions, but I think there are 0 female consultants in LATAM or Asia.

Be prepared to hear unflattering critiques about other women's 'ambition' and to be micro-managed so as to curtail your own ambition.
