Make sure you are compensated fairly. Ask how your job success will be measured. Do not succumb to group think. Find kindred spirits amongst your women colleagues as there are many wonderful people that work there.

Barely any support for maternity leave. Vacation time takes a long time to accrue and cannot take vacation time in advance. No PTO and cannot use sick hours without repercussions.

    McMaster is extremely flexible with hours and leave time for all employees. The company provides both maternity and paternity leave, in addition to countless exceptional benefits. I have never had an issue leaving to take care of personal matters or taking extended time off due to family illness.

    I've had many friends take maternity leave here, and the company's policy is more than generous. In addition, they recently built a new nursing room that is quite nice and allows privacy for pumping.

The software engineers and the technical assemblers and testers are great to work with. This is an R&D environment, with fequent travel between two facilities. Besides the coding, documentation and commuication are done using Jira, Confluence, and HipChat.

Where to begin? This company is owned by a lawyer who is prone to tantrums which include screaming out loud and a lot of cursing. He turned the running of the company over to his 26 year old princess who proceeded to run it into the ground. Morale was horrible. Because of their financial difficulties they began laying off people left and right. This resulted in all the long timers (20 years) with many years of experience being shown the door. All that is left are 20-somethings who will work for $10 an hour. The quality of our service suffered so much that even the CFO resigned. Used to be a great place to work in the beginning but poor management, lack of empathy, nepotism and greed are bringing this company down.

The guys who work here are kind and engaging, except the new sales guys who are annoying bros in a good young boys club. All the men who started the company are lovely encouraging and smart. Issues with being paid on time as contractor.
