"Menards isn't a bad job- they'll give you all the training you need. There are plenty of women in management and I feel it's a decent place to work as long as you don't slack or expect someone else to do your job. "

"Nothing different than I would tell a man-department manager treats everyone fairly, equally, and is very flexible and understanding with illness, family, or medical issues. I am very lucky to work in my department-haven't worked long enough to comment on overall company"

"If you don't mind an all over the place schedule( that is all retail I think isn't it?) and usually working a lot(the more you work the more they like you) then it will be a decent job. Corporate sends out Birthday gifts to all employees every year, and all other holidays they send gifts as well. They do profit sharing at the end of the year, a yearly bonus(the longer you are there the more you get) and pay $3.00 more per hour on weekends if you work. That alone is more than I have seen any other retail store offer. "

"Overall I did not notice any discrimination for being female from anyone on upper management. Once you get into higher level management spots that pay a good amount of money, you end up working tons of hours and can get burnt out easily where you find yourself not having enough time for family and friends"
