"Negotiate for what you want including perks. Be specific and be sure to ask about all compensation/ benefits above NY state law minimums."

"Short-term disability for 6-8 weeks. The rest comes out of “choice time” which is your vacation, holiday time bank. This actually is generous and accrues quickly, but you do have to plan well ahead and hoard."
