Stay as far away from Dow Chemical (formerly Dow Corning) as you possibly can. Old school managers who are unable to find a better way to lead beyond fear - if fear does not work, you are terminated

Maybe. Dow Chemical has acquired Dow Corning, Dow Corning had very progressive policies but Dow Chemical does not even have flextime!

If you have the right manager, it can be a great place to work. Family leave benefits are lacking.

I would not suggest this company. It still has a fairly old school boys club feeling to it. It claims to be family friendly but what you are actually allowed to do is not. Also no paid maternity leave and fertility treatment is not covered by insurance.

Maybe. I think they are realizing he need and benefits of diversity so it is a good time for women to join and make a difference. Managers might be a little clumsy and unsure of how to work with women but they at least are trying.

The people are really nice, good people, management leaves something to be desired in some departments. Flex time is not possible, OT is never expected, vacation time is very generous.
