Compensation is ok, must negotiate to get close to what you are worth. Benefit package does not support anyone but single, ZERO maternity leave and FMLA is frowned upon

The company did not have paid maternity leave until recent regulations required it. Paid time off is pretty low.

Alpha male dominant covertly abusive fear-based culture where micro-aggression, neglect, lack of public acknowledgement or even acknowledgement to your face for stellar performance, and silence are used to keep you in your place and leave you feeling diminished but are done in a way that leaves no way to prove the abuse.

This is a fairly new business and change is constant. However, they are not great at communicating it which creates chaos, confusion, and unnecessary speculation.

There is no official work from home policy, but depending on who you are, it appears that you are allowed to work from home "unofficially". Salaried employees are very much treated like hourly employees with the clock watching mentality this company has bread. You could work 4 extra hours a day, but if you were 5 minutes late past your start time expect to be reprimanded and not appreciated for the extra time.

July 2015

Salary ranges are invisible to most employees, only HR and management have access. Have learned that male counterparts in my same position are making at least 30K more than me, with less experience and fewer skills. New CEO within the past 10 years has stronger vision and direction, and he has started to change things for the better with his implementation of HOS and driving simplicity. But due to the size of the company and the "good ole boy" mentality within the manufacturing businesses, it's been very slow to change. Good news is that a good number of the employees are due to retire within the next 5-10 years (very aged population) and that will hopefully drive out a lot of the stubborness to change.
