"Not many options for mentoring or growth here. Better to find that elsewhere unless you're just that into the construction industry."

"There are people who have been here a long time who seem very busy but don't actually do much. There is huge favoritism from upper management for some departments over others. There are a few some people in upper management who have few apparent skills but have a six-figure salary -- sort of like Pruitt's buddy who went from an assistant manager of a store to second in command at Dept. of Interior."

"The upper management is very rigid. Those who want to work from home may do so only one day a week, always the same day, and only with the permission of the person's immediate supervisor. Those who need a modification in working hours -- start earlier or start later than the official start time -- must apply to do so, with the permission of the immediate supervisor. "
