"The culture isn't great and the politics can be very frustrating. The metrics you are measured on for your annual performance reviews can be incredibly challenging to meet because they are not individualized (they use a blanket approach for entire departments). If you have children and family to care for at home, I don't know how you would balance that with your job responsibilities as there is a ton of take-home work. I have neither and I found it challenging to balance my own needs with my work. You will be doing a lot of work outside of your normal scheduled hours and management doesn't care. Performance improvement plans abound. Very discouraging and stressful environment to work in."

"Women are respected as colleagues, but there are few in leadership roles. Maternity leave and pumping policies are consistent with what is legally mandated by the federal government and nothing more. This is surprisingly underwhelming for a children's healthcare system."
