Magic Leap's heart is in the right place and I do think that leadership cares deeply about issues around equality and inclusivity. Since we are moving at such a rapid speed, it is harder to really push the whole organization to be on the same page. Team managers need some more training because it does seem like there is a slight disconnect from Senior Leadership down to those below management.

    Flexible, yes, but if you are salaried, they own you. Call in sick, they will text and harass you about minor issues, and send scathing emails if they feel response time lags.

Management seems to encourage a toxic culture of office politics. Too many middle managers, a flat organization, limited work-life balance unless you are liked by your supervisor, very political, arrogant upper management especially if they are heavily degreed (PhD), a lot of inner fighting among management and no accountability, you take the heat for there lack of leadership.

The benefits are good (they pay 100% of insurance (including family coverage). If the women is in sales, marketing, HR, or administrative; I'd say "go for it". But, for technical women, you have no change for advancement.

    It's not nearly enough; I was able to take/afford 7 weeks with my son and 13 with my daughter. The 13 weeks allowed for much more bonding time and it's evident with my relationships with my kids.
