It might be easier for administrative employees to have a better work-life balance, but, if you are a lawyer and you are good at your wokr, the balance is harder to achieve. They will look down at you if you come in late or leave early, notwithstanding that you do your wokr and comply with your hourly budget.

There is only 1 female agent with the company. One female on the board and the same female is the only female on the exec team. She does not like working with other women. The company structure is men with female support staff. The company is not open to questions or suggestions on change. Many strong women leave within 1-2 years.

    Two week waiting period for 6 weeks of sort term disability. They bleed out your PTO while you are on FMLA having you come back from Maternity leave with 0 hours for illness. You have to call every week of FMLA to check in. There is only one lactation room for the ENTIRE company.

As a federal worker you have to start at the bottom with unreasonable pay. Wirking as a contractor pays better but the benefits are not good

It's a boys' club. Have a look at the website and see how many women there are in management; it was one out of twenty, approximately, when I was there. Strip clubs have featured for "meetings". Although this was allegedly outside work activity, work was discussed and deals were made.
