The benefits and materntiy leave benefits are really great. However, SLB is a giant, slow-moving corporate machine. Nothing happens quickly and everyone seems to be stuck doing things how they've always been done. In my department, great suggestions were regularly shot down, but it seemed like they liked to give you hope that it could work and it would just take months for them to finally (officially) shoot your idea down.

    There was just a level of drudgery. The work was always exactly the same and there was almost no such thing as moving up. There's was nowhere to move within my department, and my role in marketing communications didn't lend itself to accepting roles outside of the marketing department.

women are treated fairly, however know before going into hospitality that pay is lower across the board than in other industries. Maternity leave is not paid, however if you have any accrued holiday or sick time you can use all of that. 3 months off is what you get.

It's tough to make the leap into leadership from the lower ranks. Higher level meetings tend to have more men or an equal gender split, while lower level meetings are majority women. The museum recently made some changes to its facilities to better allow mothers to pump at work.

When I was an intern, there were a lot of nice people and the flow of the company was great and the boss was nice and respectful. They have changed out all of their people, kicked out some patients and changed the way the company does things. You would have a different experience than me and I don't think they have interns anymore, so I don't know if you would like it or not.
