"During the interview process really ask about what a typical day or week looks like, and the current staffing situation. Depending on the area there may be on-call for nights, weekends, holidays if you are in the clinical or clinical support setting. The on-call pay is great but I have seen people get burned out due to short staffing and more on-call shifts. "
