January 2017

We have a very positive, collaborative culture. Not only are women heard and respected within their teams, but we have a lot of great communication across functions and departments. TestPlant has a very family-friendly culture; and there's no stigma associated with working your schedule around things like school drop-offs. The one downside here is that maternity/paternity leave is still pretty meager, at least in our US office. (Our benefits have been improving steadily, though, so I wouldn't be surprised to see this change.) In addition to all that, our products are innovative and cool, and our Boulder office is a really fun place to work.

November 2015

In general, the utility industry tends to be predominately male. There are certain organizations that are fairly diverse from an age and gender standpoint. However, there are some organizations that are mostly male with much of the senior leadership represented by men who have been at the company for 20-30+ years. While it would be great to have been representation of men and women in these organizations and at leadership levels, the issue to me is about having a progressive mindset. By the nature of regulated utilities, the culture and leaders are not as progressive or dynamic as newer companies or tech-companies. I think that is the most important factor to consider, which impacts other aspects of working at the company. As new leaders are coming into the company, I'm seeing the culture slowly shift.

Earthjustice takes pride to consistently improve HR practices and to attract the most diverse employees base. This means they are extremely flexible with family needs, remote working and time off. They care about finding the best people who believe in the mission and will support you in any way they can

June 2015

I've worked and volunteered with this company for about 5 years. The time I spent with them I noticed most of or all of the staff has been women. They are not taken seriously and their ideas and recommendations are taken a back to seat to the men who control the political positions. Most of those positions are held by men. They receive minimal pay and are judged by looks. Meaning if you are tall, thin and beautiful you get more attention but not always in a professional manner.
