i have been at the firm for nearly 4 years. I think they are a little shortsighted about the future. The (all male) equity partners are more concerned with protecting their bonuses than developing a firm and leaving a legacy. Although the managing partner is a woman, she does not have significant power as compared to the equity partners.

While Deere is attempting to change its culture, it is still a male-dominated, conservative environment. "Wait-your-turn" leadership is an unstated principle that often works against diverse and/or female mid-career hires because Deere has many employees with 20+ years with the company.

Many places in the fashion industry are dominated by women. UO is no exception. As such, it's a very comfortable place for women to work. It's peculiar that the further you look up the corporate ladder here, the more the demographic turns to conservative white men.
