      "Stay away from IT (Information Technology). They are not accustomed to working with and reporting to women. None of the men working there have wives who are equals in terms of salary or position, so they all have a very patriarchal view of women. They will make it their mission to find fault with you so you will leave on your own or blow a small thing you said in jest out of proportion and report you to HR, but they have said much worse things which go unchallenged because men don't snitch on other men. Additionally, the head of the IT department is ex-military and that is how he runs the department. There is no open-door policy, and if you are a woman, he will avoid speaking to you 1:1 or going on business trips with you because he is scared that his wife will take issue with it. He is an imposter and completely unqualified but plays the game well and has been there many years. If you are a shy, meek, subservient woman you will do well there."
