The HR policies assume that you work on a production floor. So office people who work late and on the weekends (often travelling on weekends) are forced to take a full day PTO to leave an hour early to go to a dr appt or something.

November 2017

Paid maternity leave at higher rate for almost six months and then a return to work bonus in the last few months. Bonuses are paid but they’re not competitive within financial services and pay increases are poor. Very high turnover.

They offer 8 weeks paid and an additional 4 unpaid. When I asked about it I was told to avoid raising the issue to the head of HR who is a woman who had multiple children while at Stifel and find its sufficient.

The owner is also a woman and mother, who has worked for all of her child's life, so she completely understands, without question, when family interjects into work.

The department processes are not well defined and it is not on the radar to improve them. The stress level is too high for too many people over multiple departments. It's difficult to have a positive career feel here.
