Every single time a woman employee became pregnant, TFM would shuffle them out the door as soon as they returned to work. Broadly speaking, corporate issued maternity leave without complaint. I personally witnessed four recently returned female employees get targeted by the store manager and terminated shortly thereafter. It was often done by goalpost changing or altering procedure on the fly so they'd have an excuse to write the new mom up, and since corporate values the manager's word above the livestock, it was he vs she, and he would win every time.

Over all a pretty good place to work, depending on the department you're in. Maternity leave is good compared to many other companies (10 weeks paid) but is still sorely lacking. Your options for upward mobility will, in most departments, top out at a middle manager or senior manage role if you don't have experience working in a rental branch. This is a great place to work if you get into rental right out of college and can spare a few years of physical labor and long hours to work your way up the food chain. Opportunities feel like they're presented equally to men and women in terms of promotion, however I've noticed men in positions of power are more likely to pull other men into strategy meetings, leaving women without a seat at the table. That being said, most men in leadership positions who I've encountered are open to feedback and do make efforts to fix issues (like failing to include women in important conversations) if those issues are brought to their attention. In a nutshell: the men here are still "men" but they are more likely to accept and act on feedback, rather than blow you off, as men in some other companies might. Additional points for having a female CEO and a female COO.

I work in our Corporate Office, which both manages and supports our Groups in the field. The experience at Corporate is very different from the experience of those working in the field. Corporate adheres to a standard 8am- 5pm M-F schedule, with schedule flexibility varying department to department. Days consist primarily of desk work, meetings, and travel as needed. Field work (in rental branches) requires much longer hours, primarily physical and sales labor (car cleaning, car running, direct customer interaction, etc.) and flexibility adheres to retail-work rules (i.e- can you get someone to cover your shift? etc.)

November 2015

Fantastic structure and work environment. They provide a lot of training tools and encourage you to be your best. They understand and value their employees and you are rewarded for doing the right thing. This company has a very low staff turn over, that alone says a lot. The only unfortunate thing is that it is predominately the Oil and Gas industry which with the fluctuations can not make you feel secure when the oil price is down like it is at the moment.
