"It may seem like a glamourous place to work, but do your homework. Talk to lots of people, and not just the ones that have only one perspective."

"The working structure at Sephora in sales is a nightmare. In my experience of working there for a summer the managers tend to have favorites. May it be the manager themselves for ruining the Sephora reputation, but even so the experience should not be discounted. Because the team is mostly women for some reason working there feels like working with your high school classmates (rumors, trash-talking behind someone's back, etc). There is no UNITY or EMPOWERMENT. Isn't that the point of Sephora? Sephora's catering to the self-esteem yet their employees are not given a system where they can do that with each other. Given that employees are only paid hourly and not competitively, bashing each other directly or indirectly is quite prevalent."
