    In IT there is more flexibility than in Investmestment Operations but overall, the firm has an inflexible working hours and performance expectation in mind for all associates, especially in the customer service organization. The leadership of the firm also has a very clear ideal profile in mind for associates who are more likely to advance and progress in their careers. People who take advantage of flexibility, unless they are male, do not progress in the firm. The ideal profile varies from department to department but it's definitely a thing.

Women are valued in this organization. The senior leadership team strives to have diversity of thought, gender, and ethnic backgrounds in the workplace. I have never thought or feel that I have been treated differently due to my gender. I receive respect from my colleagues and see that my input is valued.

A lot of ladies work here. Many of them are in support roles. There are no female consultants or sales persons at all. There are women in supervisory positions of the support departments. The lab tech positions are dominated by females, including supervisors. Maternity leave is 6 weeks of disability, but the first week is unpaid. So it is 5 weeks at 60% pay. There are jokes made about "giving birth on Friday and coming back on Monday." They will not stop you from taking time you need off for family, but comments are made that are less than favorable. The attitude is that families / pregnancy is an inconvenience for the company.
