Run away!!! This is a boys club. They promised so much and failed miserably in training, communication, and safety.

Show some respect towards women, our of 90 branches only 3 women work in the warehouse. The other women employed there work in sales and are expected to cater to the men that work there.

October 2018

Be aware of the cultural differences between the US and the UK. I found subtle (but pervasive) anti-American sentiment and chauvinism in lots of places. Mostly it was benign and something we joked about. But it's there, and if that's something you can't stomach, then this may not be a good fit for you.

DK--and its parent company Penguin Random House--are very open to flexible work arrangements. Your direct supervisor is the important link here--he or she must champion you and your arrangement for it to work.

Very catty women. Very insecure managers. They bully people. They do not pay well for the amount of work that is expected.

unless you sign up for short term disability you do not get paid while on leave. If something God forbid happens while being pregnant that puts you on bed rest, they immediately find a replacement, "warm body" just in case you don't return.
