"Stack Overflow is the first company I worked for that I call home. I've been here for about four years and loved every moment. My colleagues, leader, and manager are kind, empathetic, intelligent, and excellent collaborators. There are no questions that are too small to ask and people are willing to lend a hand when you need help. They truly care about your well-being and want you to take time when you need it.
I have a flexible schedule that I can work around as long as I discuss with my manager ahead of time. Stack Overflow also launched learn, share, grow day for everyone to take half day to learn something new with all the resources they offer online or to use our professional development budget. "

"Head of HR is female, no surprise, but the head of Engineering is too! That bodes well toward leveling the playing field. Sadly, if you are over 40 and female there is NO place for you in this organization. Tech is generally ageist and SO is a textbook example. They are super conscientious about representative of all “underrepresented “ populations -LGBTQIA, Neuro-atypical Black & Brown, Asian Pacific Islander etc but age discrimination is not popular and trendy and gets no nod.
