The Bad thing is that most decisions are based on feelings and trends, so a lot of times, technical/scientific skills are lacking and data/facts are often misinterpreted for emotional bias. HR lumps all specialized positions into 1 category, which basically defaults to the lowest pay bracket--you will find that your salary will not reflect other big industries in Seattle. Starbucks HQ employees are often poached by other industries in the area. Expert communicators and storytellers will excel here. Healthcare is also confusing and expensive for office employees, since they have to account for hourly Retail employees as well. "
