Most teams are very accommodating and supportive, but benefits and leave are not great.

There are very few women in senior executive roles in this company - none on the senior leadership team.

I have been with Starwood for 5 years and have seen first hand how wonderful Starwood is to their employees. The are dedicated to helping each and every person be the best they can be and progress to higher levels. There is a genuine team spirit at Starwood where leadership and staff work together and care for eachother.

I have worked at Starwood for almost 2 years. I had worked for so many dead end job over the past 20 years, that I thought I was just continuing the cycle. If I would have known that I was working for such a great company that focuses on you as an individual, the effort you put into your job, I think I would have moved up a lot faster. My supervisor's, Team Lead's, Senior Supervisor's supported me, encouraged me, and pushed me forward. I was able to promote to supervisor in less than a year! The crazy thing is, I had an issue with my attendance during my first 90 days, which prevented a promotion for 3 months. I was discouraged at first, but when you have so many people who see potential in you telling you to keep pushing forward, you wear that hat, and do just that.
