"Throughout my pregnancy the company was so easy to work with - they never made me use vacation for appointments, letting me instead monitor my own hours via flex time. This will also come in handy with a newborn! For maternity leave, you are not forced to use up sick time/vacation - although you can use it if you want to. You can also borrow up to 40 hours of vacation from the next year, so if you used up your vacation for maternity leave you would still have the option to take a vacation that year."

"If you are taking less than 4 hours off you are not required to log time (if you are salaried). This is extremely helpful when it comes to prenatal appointments, newborn check ups etc."
