If you have savings, or a partner that is making a good salary, or your expenses are minimal, taking on an instructor position with CSMA is wonderful. Working with the children is extremely rewarding, very supportive colleagues and majority women on staff, and you have access to excellent curriculum and resources which frees up your time and energy to focus on teaching.

I worked in Human Resources and most of the women worked in support roles. I was surprised that after an informal office gathering, the CEO told me that the Director of Finance who worked her tush off and is a highly respectable, reliable and smart business woman, would never become the CFO. In his words, she was not the right person to take to a meeting, just not the right man!

I have worked here 2 years and there are a lot of women and a lot in management. Seems to have great work life balance at first and then gets more demanding with less flexibility the longer you are here, no matter how well you do your job. Having small children and being a working mother requires some flexibility on all parts and that is changing.
